Dekpor experienced devastating flooding in May and June. So many things were damaged, including 5 street light/electrical poles and it affected a wide area in Dekpor Yia. Two of the posts completely fell to the ground; three were left severely tilting. The electrical company shut the power.
We are so extremely fortunate that one of our beloved sponsorship graduates is a fully-licensed electrician! We hired Benjamin and a wee crew to replace the poles, cement them in place, and to get the wires and street lights back up and running! Let there be light!
